Natural Kirklees

We created a new website for Natural Kirklees to provide support and a resource to local community groups. The site is updated by a team of volunteers alongside news and event submissions from members.

Natural Kirklees was a newly formed organisation, and in partnership with Kirklees Council, and with National Lottery funding support we created a new website to be a resource for local ‘friends-of’ and environmental groups in the area, and to provide access to schemes such as a tool sharing, and group insurance deals.

Content managed by Natural Kirklees

On a day to day basis, Natural Kirklees administer the site, adding content and approving applications.

Training was delivered to 6 team members, most of whom had not updated a website before.

QR Code integration

Natural Kirklees have created some trails around the area, with QR codes dotted around.

When the codes are scanned on mobile phones, people are taken to pages within the site to find out more about the place they are.

Member applications

Applications to the member directory are made online by website visitors.

Form validation is carried out to ensure consistent content and submissions are then moderated by the NK volunteers.

Document library

We created a filterable document library which allows the sharing of useful resources and website links to groups across the region.

Documents are categorised by area of interest.
