Sponsoring WordCamp Manchester 2016

Delicious Media has signed up to sponsor WordCamp Manchester 2016, a WordPress focused conference. The event will be at Manchester Metropolitan University’s New Business School Building on October 22nd.

WordCamps are community organised events that take place across the world. They bring WordPress users of all levels together – bloggers, designers, developers, small business owners, corporate users and entrepreneurs who are passionate about WordPress, the web and digital. They provide a forum for sharing information and knowledge across the WordPress community.

The Delicious Media team are already active members of the WordPress community. We help to organise the WordPress meetup in Leeds and volunteer at WordCamps across the UK, including the last two in Manchester. This year we decided to sponsor our local WordCamp in the North of England.

We’ve been active members of the WordPress community for several years now, and get so much from it.  Nowhere more so than at WordCamps – the quality of the speakers and events is superb. Sponsorship keeps ticket prices down, WordCamp Manchester tickets are just £30, which makes them accessible to as many people as possible and we’re proud to be a part of enabling that.

Dave Pullig, Technical Director

This year’s WordCamp Manchester will consist of a conference day on Saturday 22nd October with a social event in the evening. On Sunday there will be a contributor day, where people can learn more about contributing to the WordPress project.

We’ll be tweeting about WordCamp Manchester throughout the event, and sharing more about what we’ve learnt and enjoyed about the event afterwards.
